Many thanks to Spencer Leigh for providing an incredibly comprehensive listing for the Odeon Cinema show for 26th August 1963 ... The Beatles didn't score very highly in his rating at the time, but there again, I wasn't too keen on them myself at the time this show was on ... you only have to read "My Funny/Sad Story" to see what I mean!!! Only a matter of a few months before I bought my first Beatles LP and went on to buy every other LP, EP, 45, Book, Magazine, Postcard, Badge (the list is endless), and have done ever since. If only...

If you've been here before - good to have you back! However, you may well have by-passed and missed the addition of some photographs of Lindisfarne and Steeleye Span LIVE on Ainsdale beach on the HOME page. Not sure of the actual date of this event so, once again, any help will be appreciated. I know it's not the Fab Four but I thought it might stir a few memories for the "locals" ... maybe you're in the photo???

Welcome to my "Blog" ... not sure how this will work (or not) as I've never done one before ... but here goes ... I'll be adding SIX new pictures to the Southport FC gallery ... still more to come ... plus, glad tidings I bring ... I now know how to link text to images so hopefully this will make your task of locating stuff easier ... more work for me but you're worth it!!! I've had quite a lot of hits so far, which is surprising as I'm still in the dark as to how to get noticed on the internet, but as I don't really know what I'm doing things seem to be going pretty well without me doing anything!!! There's a distinct lack of email responses ... either I'm not getting seen by the right people, the right people are seeing my website but not responding, or there's simply no further information available (which is highly unlikely). So if any of the "right" people ARE reading this, please get in touch! Enough waffle ... going to press button "B" and see what happens to this.
